Food at The Highlander Inn
All our food is freshly prepared in our kitchen by using locally sourced ingredients.We do NOT use bought in or ready made, pre-prepared meals!
- Our soups are all homemade
- Our vegetables are all fresh, delivered daily
- Our meats are selected from a highly respected local butcher
- Our fish is delivered freshly landed from the Moray Firth / North Sea
Lunches and Dinners are served every day in the warm relaxed atmosphere of our Whisky Bar and Club Room, surrounded by our hundreds of malt whiskies! Choose your table and take a seat. We'll bring menus to you and take your drinks order while you relax and soak up the atmosphere.
Delicious, and exceptional "Tonight's Specials", as described on the chalkboard are available every night.
After dinner coffee (cafetiere or Nespresso), perhaps accompanied by a digestif malt whisky, can also be served at your table in the Whisky Bar or Club Room.Please note, we do not take table reservations, but operate a strict "1st come, 1st served" policy so just come along. At prime times on busy evenings you may have to wait a few minutes before being able to get a table, but please be patient, it will be worth it!
Food service timesLunches are served between 12 noon and 2.00pm and Dinners from 5.30 pm until 9.30pm.
On Thursdays through to Sundays between April and October meals are available right through from 12 noon to 9.30pm.
If you have a larger party ~ 8 or more ~ please give us a call in advance and we will TRY to reserve a table for you at the time you want. Please be aware that, on busy evenings, this may not be possible. In order not to disappoint others wishing to eat, we do reserve the right to let someone else take your table if you haven't arrived within 15 minutes of the agreed time.
A full breakfast is served daily in the breakfast room between 08:00 and 09:00 (09:00 and 10:00 on Sundays).
